Normally, in modelling, the authentic realism is in the small details. The care during the choosing of the right accessories becomes vital when we want to make a detailed and realistic piece.
Exactly for that reason, today we want to show you a 1.87 scale wood bench, an own-elaboration simple accesorie which you can find on oir catalog, under the reference ETM 1001, designed to detail a small corner in any model.
Now we are going to explain you the assembling process and the final result.
This product is made from photoengraving brass and it is introduced in a 4 pieces “pack”. Each bench is made with two legs and a main piece with the wood slats.
3. Once formed, we will weld the wooden slats to the legs. We must pay attention to the three planned connection points on each leg, so that they are joined without leaving gaps. Alternatively, for those who do not want to weld, they can be glued with cyanoacrylate.
4. Presentation of an already assembled bench.
5. It is important to file all tin residues to leave the surface smooth.
6-7. Clean benches (in our case, using an ultrasonic cleaner) and ready for priming.
8. Image of the benches with the black primer layer, which will serve as paint for the legs. The wooden slats are painted with a brush in the desired color. In our case, a reddish-brown tone, very common for these benches.
9-10. Finished bench.
Surely you’ve seen this bench many times in streets, parks, and squares in Spain, haven’t you?
